Poppies & a Luberon Village
In search of poppy fields...

In spring, we leave Aix-en-Provence (or your vacation rental) and head toward the southern Luberon. We let the season guide us as we look for poppy fields: a few short photo stops chosen along the way, in the places where flashes of red often appear between open plains, farmland, and quiet country roads. Some days it’s a full red carpet along a field edge, other days it’s little bursts of color. Either way, it’s a simple, sunlit moment that feels 100% Provence.
Then we continue to Lourmarin to discover one of Provence’s most charming villages: pretty lanes, small boutiques, and a relaxed terrace coffee (market on Fridays). Lunch can be reserved in Lourmarin or nearby, depending on your preferences.
A perfect mini-tour to enjoy spring without a packed schedule, just the light, the poppy-red countryside, and the easy elegance of village life.
